Barcelona Tapas Bar y Restaurante – the home of warm Spanish ambience, delicious
tapas and award-winning wine provides Londoners with an authentic taste of Spain in the
middle of The City. For over 15 years, the family-run Barcelona Restaurant group has been
bringing a buzzy and convivial atmosphere usually found on Los Ramblas to its four locations
boasting an extensive tapas menu created from directly sourced Spanish produce and the
finest selection of Spanish wines all served in a vibrant setting.
Founded by father and son team Martin and David Dalmau in 1991, Barcelona Tapas y
Restaurante began as a small family-run basement tapas bar on Bell Lane. They now boast
4 restaurants, with locations in Lime Street, Well Court and Middlesex Street in The City
and in Dulwich, South East London, yet the family-run principles remain the same. Despite
being within walking distance of each other, each venue is individually designed and created
with a unique atmosphere in mind, although all the Barcelona restaurants boast trademark
Gaudi-inspired mosaics, bright terracotta colour schemes and a relaxed typically Spanish vibe.
Lime Street’s brightly painted and buzzing basement bar feature marble topped bars and
mosaic tiles, is situated close to Leadenhall Market and Lloyds of London and is ideal for
smaller parties, whilst the Middlesex Street restaurant, set over 2 floors provides many
dining options whilst allowing space and privacy. The Well Court venue includes an intimate
Cava Bar boasting a huge range of vintage and rare varieties as well as a large bar area
section, perfect for post work drinks or an all-evening shindig. Barcelona’s Dulwich site on
Lordship Lane is ideal for family lunches, offering special offers for children and familyfriendly
seating.
Barcelona has recently extended its specially sourced products out of the restaurant’s
kitchen and into the home. Individually sourced on frequent trips to the North of Spain by
owner David Dalmau, the products on Barcelona’s extensive deli list are of the finest
quality and often not available in the UK. Pick from the finest Spanish meats, cheeses and
wine, or try some typically Spanish sauces, desserts, condiments and delicacies – all
packaged and ready to take away. The products are all used in the restaurant’s kitchen, and
can be bought individually so diners can recreate their favourite Barcelona dishes at home,
or select their favourite olives and wine to take to a dinner party that evening.
Each Barcelona restaurant offers a huge variety of traditional and contemporary Spanish
tapas dishes, from well known Tortillas and Paellas to Barcelona’s own recipes, including
delicious stews, vegetable dishes and salads, all cooked by the finest Spanish chefs and with
fresh specially sourced produce. Highlights of the menu include:

Barcelona holds special wine-tasting evenings every month, inviting one of the Spanish wine
makers from its wine list to host a dinner and tasting session and live music evenings
