The Prince Albert began welcoming customers in 1843. Since 2007, it’s taken on a new, more refined role and is now a restaurant and bar of quality and character.
Located a little way up Royal College Street, the Prince Albert is easily reached from Camden Town tube station on the Northern line, or Camden Road overground station.
Downstairs is the bar area, with hard wood floors, wood panelling on the walls, big lead-lined Victorian windows and mismatched tables and chairs creating a periodic, Bohemian feel. Upstairs is the new fine dining restaurant, perfect for private functions, where you receive attentive, unobturusive service. There’s a pretty, flagstoneoutside area too, with tables and chairs for eating and somewhere for smokers to escape to.
Our chef is serious about his food, and he personally sources the best ingredients for the dish and the season. He chooses only hand-reared free range meats, fresh fish and veg. The wine selection is vast and you will find ales such as Blacksheep, Broadside and a guest ale that changes weekly. We also pride ourselves on our large selection of Whiskeys and Vokdas.
Booking is advisable for our very special Sunday lunch & our popular half price food on Mondays We also have extensive canape and buffet menus for private parties and functions.
