The Bolingbroke is a pub serving nice food, at the far end of Northcote Rd, walking distance from both Clapham Junction BR and Wandsworth Common BR.
We booked for lunch on Easter Sunday with some friends and our respective babies and by 1.30pm the whole place was full of kids! This is a very child friendly pub and the bemused looks of four lads that came in for a few pints said it all!
It's a good menu, nothing crazy but solid choices. The salmon fillet was huge, perfectly cooked and very fresh. My sausages (3) and mash was perfectly adequate. Puddings are also good and prices average for this area.
The staff are excellent, seemingly well used to stepping over crawling ankle nippers and cheerful throughout.
This used to be a restaurant called Niksons but as a pub mainly given over to eating, it does the job nicely. And a great venue for somewhere a bit more adult that isn't a stuffy restaurant and that actually welcomes people with children.
