National Vegetarian Week (Monday 18th May to Sunday 24th May 2009) grows bigger with every year, bringing a diverse range of cuisines from around the world to vegetarians and experimental carnivores alike. To celebrate, two of the UK’s hottest fine-dining Asian restaurants, Awana and Mango Tree, are offering exclusive new dishes guaranteed to excite their diners.
Chelsea restaurant Awana is famed for it’s inventive Malaysian cuisine while sister Belgravia restaurant Mango Tree creates some of the best Thai food available in the UK. Both have gone all-out to showcase the versatility of fresh vegetables married with exotic spices which are bursting with flavour.
Diners can choose from an extensive and well-crafted menu, including at Awana king oyster mushrooms stir-fried with tomato, cucumber and sour fruit while at Mango Tree, experiment with stir-fried ‘five treasures’ with water chestnuts, jujubes and yam in oyster sauce.
