
Healthy fast food pioneer POD - www.podfood.com – is delighted to announce the launch of its summer 2009 menu with a detailed focus on recipes containing natural ingredients that specifically nurture and protect your skin during this lovely summer weather!
POD’s summer menu features two delicious new salad recipes, the English garden salad at £2.95 and the more exotic spicy Thai noodle salad at £4.25. These salads are available alongside POD’s existing salads; POD superfood, oak smoked mackerel superfood, tuna & herb pasta, and the crunchy Indian slaw & mango chutney.
To celebrate the arrival of summer POD has launched a sublime summer salad loyalty scheme that offers customers a free salad once they have purchased any four salads. The sublime summer salad loyalty cards are available at all pod outlets.
Also new for summer are three varieties of superfood nori wraps – roast chicken, shredded duck or avocado. These are nutritious, low in calories and bursting with crunchy vegetables. The wraps are served with a choice of dressing plus a side portion of slaw. The avocado superfood nori wrap is rich in vitamin E and healthy monounsaturated fats which help maintain a glowing complexion.
The final addition to the POD summer menu is the delicious new roasted chicken or shredded duck miso soba which is both low calorie and low in fat. The recipe includes rice noodles, sugar snap peas, shredded red cabbage, bean sprouts, red chilli, spring onion and coriander mixed with POD’s secret hot miso broth. All of the miso sobas are rich in vitamin C which helps protect collagen, responsible for skin strength and elasticity.
The complete summer menu is now available at POD’s three London stores located at London Wall, Lloyds Avenue and Devonshire Square.

Good Health – POD offers advice to customers about eating a healthy and varied diet. Pod minimises salt in its dishes and does not use preservatives in its dishes. POD’s menu offers a range superfood, low fat, wheat free, dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options.
Good Ingredients – pod buys fresh seasonal ingredients from trusted sources. All of its fruit and vegetables are bought from New Covent Garden Market each morning, and are British grown whenever available.
Good for the environment - pod has pioneered the use of compostable packaging throughout its stores. POD also uses an anaerobic digester, a technology that turns waste products such as uneaten food and compostable packaging into electricity that in turn can be fed into the National Grid. Pod stores are constructed using recycled materials.
