Located just outside Liverpool Street station, NOW is able to offer the time-poor amongst us a chance enjoy firm Chinese favourites wherever we choose. Armed with innovative packaging and a love of handmade delicacies, NOW is open throughout the day providing a funky and delicious destination to pick-up something new, from breakfast pastries, to soups, salads and rice pots, impulse nibbles and hero dumplings. With prices starting at just £1.29 for a breakfast bun to £3.99 for a six delectable steamed dumplings, NOW’s pricing is affordable for all.
Inspired by the food stalls and street stands of Southern China, NOW serves a wonderfully wide variety of dishes to mix and match. From quick bites to fabulous feasts, the menu provides the luxury of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as everything in between. Freshly prepared and ready to go, simply make your selection at the counter and take your delights away without the worry of a wait.
For early risers, Chinese rice milk porridge is served with toppings of day including blackberry and asian pear; banana, maple and sesame; and vanilla, palm sugar, mango and lime. Other great choices include sweet and savoury baked buns. From chocolate and custard swirl; coconut experience; ham and cheese; char sui pork; and spinach and mushroom, these exciting departures from toast and cereal provide a refreshingly unique breakfast alternative.
From the morning onwards, steamed dumplings of chive; coriander; golden vegetable; chicken shu mai; and har gau, to name a few, may be enjoyed in a selection of pre-made baskets. Designed by brand specialist Niclas Sellebraten working alongside David Marquardt of MACH Design, the bold interior sees black lacquer surfaces contrast against energetic murals of neon characters from Shanghai street signs. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the cobbled-style floor to the bamboo ceiling and stacked-high steamers, all elements come together to evoke the bustling city scenes that inspired NOW’s menu. Display counters and backlit menus reveal NOW’s offering, whilst polished wood stools and tables provide limited seating for those who can’t wait to enjoy their food. Vibrant and funky, NOW is now.
