The refinery, Bankside’s most exciting and innovative bar and restaurant, is celebrating its second birthday with a host of special food, drink, health and beauty offers.
On Wednesday 15th September, the first 200 people to bring us a birthday card will be given a free cocktail and complimentary canapés will be served after 5pm.
A special raffle kicks off on Wednesday too, with free tickets given away with any purchase over £20. The draw will take place at 6pm on the 17th with the winner receiving a two-course meal with a bottle of house wine at the refinery and also a cut and blow-dry at nearby O’Sullivans hair and beauty salon.
From 5pm a DJ set starts up and, from 5.30pm, there’s also a tongue-in-cheek treat from the Psychic Sisters. Located on our mezzanine floor, they will be giving a playful insight into guests’ lives through tarot and palm readings.
Between 20th-23rd September, the refinery is also offering free consultations with a personal trainer and nutritionist who can also advise on what goodies from the refinery’s menu and list of skinny cocktails you can treat yourself to – and still stay looking great.
As the celebrations coincide with London Fashion Week (17th-22nd September) the refinery will also be offering a special list of Catwalk Cocktails. The list will be available from 13th-23rd September and on each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday these will be at the special birthday price of £5 after 5pm (normally £6.95).
The list is a cheeky tribute to models everywhere and includes several drinks created in honour of our favourite supermodels and designers. Choose between our signature serves and calorie-counted ‘skinny’ cocktails: try the Gisele Caipirinha, made with fresh kiwi, cachaça, lime and sugar; the Kir Haute Couture, made with strawberry and blueberry liqueurs and champagne; the Burberry Bramble, with fresh basil, lemon grass, gin and elderflower liqueur; or the McCartney Martini, with fresh raspberries, gin, Chambord and superfruit tea.
the refinery, located in the iconic Blue Fin Building behind the Tate Modern, is part of the fast-growing Drake & Morgan group of bars and restaurants. It was among the first businesses to occupy the newly regenerated Bankside area behind the Tate Modern. Two years on, the area is a thriving destination for workers and visitors to London alike, with the refinery occupying a prime site of the development.
