Christmas Party Idea - Clos Maggiore in Covent Garden

Celebrate the festive season at Clos Maggiore. Head upstairs to the secluded private dining room at this hidden gem in Covent Garden.

Capable of seating groups of up to 23, we offer three gourmet Christmas adventures, each compiled by head chef Marcellin Marc, starting at just £45 per person. For larger groups, we can accommodate an extra 50 guests in our beautiful main restaurant.

For lunch, choose from starters including Devon crab and marjoram, chicken liver and foie gras parfait and celeriac and truffle soup; main courses such as oven-roasted sea bass, slow-cooked charolais of beef cheek and honey-glazed Gressingham duck breast; and desserts that include caramelised Braeburn apple gratin and Valrhona chocolate and griottine fondant.

Our dinner menu, at £55 per head, includes additional choices such as chargrilled wild scallops to start, fillet of Cornish cod to follow and black figs in mulled wine to finish.

We also offer a five-course tasting menu, plus coffee and petit fours, priced at £65 (or £100 with wine), allowing you to sample a wider variety of Clos Maggiore’s signature dishes, perfectly matched by Clos Maggiore’s expert sommelier.

Private Dining Over Christmas at Bentley's Oyster Bar and Grill

Bentley's Oyster Bar and Grill, on Swallow St, W1, emailed me to share their private dining availability over the Christmas period, just in case you haven't decided where to have that special private Christmas get together!

Crustacea Room

The Crustacea Room is situated on the first floor of Bentley's Oyster Bar and Grill and accommodates up to 14 guests.  The room has full natural daylight and features pieces from Chef Richard Corrigan's personal collection of art.  The full A La Carte menu is available or, alternatively, allow our Head Chef to create a six-course Tasting Menu for your party.

Jameson Room

The Jameson Room on the lower floor is available for exclusive hire for up to 60 guests.  It has its own private entrance, cloakroom, toilet facilities and cocktail bar.  You can also use our 3am licence for your Festive party.  Your personal Events Co-ordinator will be happy to arrange entertainment for you, whether it be operatic waiters, classical artists, pianists (the Jameson Room has its own piano fully connected to our PA system), live bands, DJ's, etc, to make your party a night to remember.

Afternoon Tea at Eight Members Club in Moorgate

Throughout the festive season, Eight Members Club will be serving a bespoke Christmas themed afternoon tea complete with all the trimmings. Resident pastry chef Vanessa Antoli who has previously worked with Tom Aikens and the Berkeley Hotel, has designed all the sweet treats that will be ‘wrapped’ in an indulgent icing complete with icing ribbon.
 
The special festive afternoon tea will include Christmas favourites such as Cranberry Macaroons, Pear and Ginger Tarts, Christmas Cake and Mince Pies. There will also be custom made Chocolate Brownie Baubles, sure to satisfy any chocolate lover’s palate. Served on a three tier stand, the Christmas tea will also include all the traditional tea components such as warm freshly baked scones, clotted cream and jam and a selection of delectable finger sandwiches.
 
Eight Members Club in Moorgate sets the perfect backdrop to enjoy this quintessential British experience. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the rooftop club boasts 360 panoramic views of London where guests can enjoy all the Christmas lights of London. Take a seat in The Library, which provides a secret haven with its wood panelled walls, leather and muted colours, making it a warm and comfortable space to enjoy the treats.
 
To round off the Christmas experience at Eight Members Club, follow up the festive afternoon tea with a warming glass of mulled wine on one of the expansive terraces that surround the two storey members club. Eight will be providing warm blankets for guests to get cosy under and enjoy the London skyline.
